Damn! I forgot to update my bloggy when I finished my lovely rasta/beret hat! (Thanks to the lovely
Teresa yet again) Okay well it's amazing and I love it, and I can't believe I actually crocheted it myself. Go me!!

I've pretty much worn it everyday since I made it, lol. It's awesome when I don't wanna do anything to my hair, which is pretty much everyday, lol ... I'm so low maintanace, my hair stylists friends get annoyed w/ me. They give me this great looking cut, and the next day I come in and my hair is up, but come on I can't work w/ my hair down. I'd be sweating on my clients, and that is gross.
Anywhooo .... my new WIP (work in progress) is the shawl that started it all, which I mentioned in a previous entry, lol. I have undone my work SO many times I've already lost count. The one I had pretty much done halfway and stopped I had to undo (probably not the right crochet terminology, but whatevs I'm new at this) because both mama and I could not figure out where to go from there. I rummaged through tons of patterns online looking for
the one. There was only one person that had the pattern for a similar shawl from
'Sweet Novemer' but I just wasn't sure it was loose enough for me. Finally I settled on a lover's knot shawl, which was great, looked pretty until I realized it wasn't going to be a triangle. O.o *le sigh* So new mission, found a triangle lover's knot shawl, yay ... somehow figured out the pattern (did I mention I'm not great at reading patterns? haha) and started my shawl. Probably two days into it I realize that it's going to be WAY too long. The point of the triangle is not past my butt, and the shoulders isn't long enough. Greeeeat. I worked on it too long to undo it though, I just don't have the heart, lol. So I put it aside and grab different yarn and start working on the
Sweet February shawl I had found before ... it's cute, but not really want I pictured in my head for this one. I will probably make that one later though, as well as the rectangle loverl's knot one. More searching through patterns..... I finally think that maybe I just need to figure out how to knit one. The knitted shawls look more like what I wanted, so now I just need to learn how to read the pattern. So I find
THIS one, which is just what I wanted. The pattern look simpled enough, I just have no idea what k2tog means, but YouTube.com to the rescue!
I've been working on it since Sat night, I'm at 62 stitches (should be 146 total) now, and it looks awesome. I'm not really sure if it really will turn out, but it's looking good so far, so maybe this is the winner after all. I can't wait! I've waited way too long for my shawl. We will see. I'm really excited that I figured out a knitted pattern too, I mean it's super simple, but still. :)
